Bivouac exercise prepares Airmen for expeditionary operations

Senior Airman Mathew Plummer, pavements and equipment journeyman, 5th Civil Engineering squadron operates a compact tract loader, while repairing a crater during the bivouac exercise at Fargo Air National Guard Base, North Dakota, June 2nd, 2026. The objective of the crater repair exercise is to rapidly fix bombed-out runways so aircraft can continue to land and launch under pressure.
