The hidden tail number seen below the horizontal stabilizer on a U.S. Air Force F-100C Super Sabre reveals the aircrafts real identity as tail number 54-1986 on display at the Eglin Air Force Base Armament Museum on October 24, 2023. The aircraft was the last “C” model F-100 assigned to the 174th Fighter Squadron of the 185th Fighter Group, Iowa Air National Guard before being flown to Eglin in May 1974.
