60 years of service
The Boeing Aircraft KC-135 Stratotanker turned 60 this year. In 1956 the jet age was upon us and auto designers in Detroit were mimicking what was being produced by the aviation industry in Seattle. Auto designers added items like wrap around windows, turbines and even afterburner tail lights for decoration. Because of regular maintenance classic automobiles like the '56 Chevy and aircraft like the KC-135, are still flying down the road and in the air today. U.S. Air National Guard photo by Master Sgt.
