U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Marc Masuno (center) is awarded an achievement medal by U.S. Army Brig. Gen. Moses Kaoiwi Jr., Hawaii Army National Guard commander, and U.S. Air Force Lt. Col. Glen Hayase, for his efforts in standing up the Hawaii National Guard’s first Cyber Mission Assurance Team May 14, 2022, at Fort DeRussy, Hawaii. Masuno supported a National Guard Bureau pilot program from October 2018 through March 2020. During that time period, the joint team of cyber specialists developed new methods of supporting critical networking infrastructure for government and civilian networks.
