Daniel Nicholson, Joint Terminal Attack Controller (JTAC) evaluator from the Pennsylvania Air National Guard’s 148th Air Support Operations Squadron, takes part in evaluating two Lithuanian JTACs as part of the multinational Furious Wolf exercise at Lithuania’s Kazlų Rūda range March 3, 2022. JTACs direct the action of combat aircraft engaged in close air support and other offensive air operations from a forward position and are are a crucial component of today’s modern war-fighting toolbox.
