JB Charleston transfers C-17s to Charlotte ANG
Staff Sgt. Travis Ryan, 437th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron scheduled maintenance NCO in charge, chooses a tool during a C-17 Globemaster III inspection at Joint Base Charleston, S.C., April 4, 2018. The C-17 was prepared for a flight to its new home station at the Charlotte Air National Guard Base, N.C. The first of four C-17 Globemaster IIIs was transferred from Joint Base Charleston to the Charlotte Air National Guard, N.C. April 7, 2018 as part of a congressional mandate. Joint Base Charleston and Joint Base Lewis-McChord have transferred airplanes to West Virginia, Tennessee, New York and now Charlotte.
