Fertile Keynote

A Civil Air Patrol Cessna aircraft awaits its flight in a hangar in Madison, Wis., July 12, 2016. The Cessna was part of a fertile keynote exercise in the airspace above central Wisconsin. Fertile keynote is a term used to describe practice intercept missions where F-16 Fighting Falcon pilots are tested on their responses to emergency situations involving other aircraft. The 115th Fighter Wing has been exercising its aerospace control mission since the events of 9/11. (U.S. Air National Guard photo by Staff Sgt. Andrea F. Rhode)
