180th Fighter Wing honors Ashleigh Hunt as Pilot for a Day

The U.S. Army Reserve 983rd Engineer Battalion escorted Ashleigh Hunt, a 22 year-old Ohio resident diagnosed with osteosarcoma, in a humvee to the 180th Fighter Wing in Swanton, Ohio where she was designated a pilot for a day May 26, 2016. During the Pilot for a Day event, Hunt was commissioned as an honorary 2nd Lt., launched an F-16 Fighting Falcon, received a tour of the base facilities, and experienced basic pilot survival and parachute training.
