Syracuse ANG doesn't fear the Reaper
JOINT BASE BALAD, Iraq -- Weapons specialists assigned to the 332nd Expeditionary Fighter Squadron here check the munitions on a F-16 Fighting Falcon before a combat mission over Iraq July 8. The personnel and aircraft are both deployed from the 174th Fighter Wing at Hancock Field Air National Guard Base, Syracuse, N.Y. The 174th FW will become the first Air Guard unit to adopt an MQ-9 Reaper unmanned aerial system mission when it returns from its deployment to Iraq.
