Changing of the Guard
LANGLEY AIR FORCE BASE, Va. -- F-22A Raptor maintenance personnel with the Virginia Air National Guard’s 192nd Fighter Wing check the flightline for foreign object debris before the morning mission May 17. The 192nd FW is the first Guard unit to fly the Raptors. The 192nd has more than 20 pilots trained to fly the Air Force's newest air superiority jet and an increasing number of full-time and traditional guardsmen working alongside active-duty personnel. May 17 and 18 marked the first time the 192nd generated aircraft sorties with a majority of Guard personnel since their integration with the 1st Fighter Wing. (U.S. Air Force photo/Staff Sgt.
