A technician applies sealant tape to the engine of a KC-135E in preparation for storage.
Manny Vasquez, a technician with the 578th Storage and Disposal Squadron, applies black-vinyl tape (similar to wide electrician's tape) to crevices, access panels and the canopy/fuselage gap to an Air Force KC-135 as part of the aircraft's preparation for long-term storage. The 50-year-old aircraft was delivered to the group for storage at the 2,600-acre facility after serving the 151st Air Refueling Wing, Utah Air National Guard for more than 20 years.
