NGB Senior Enlisted Leader Visits Selfridge
CMSgt. Denise Jelinski-Hall, senior enlisted leader of the National Guard Bureau, prepares to pin on the rank insignia of a chief master sergeant on to Walter Escoe, who was promoted to that rank during a Feb. 4, 2012 ceremony at Selfridge Air National Guard Base, Mich. New rank is traditionally “pinned” on to an Airman with a collegial punch in the arm. Pinning on the rank on the other arm Howard Goolsby, one of Escoe’s mentors. Jelinski-Hall visited Selfridge part of a tour of several Michigan National Guard facilities. At each stop, she spoke to Airmen and Soldiers and sought their input on issues to take back to the senior leaders of the Guard. (U.S. Air Force photo by TSgt. David Kujawa)
