Preston Air National Guard Readiness Center Public Affairs JOINT BASE ANDREWS, Md. -- Air National Guard senior leaders from the 54 states, territories and the District of Columbia gathered here recently to openly discuss ethics, leadership and professionalism during the ANG General Officer Summit. Lt. Gen. Stanley E. Clarke III, director of the ANG, called the meeting and explained its importance. "The [Air National Guard] General Officer Summit was invaluable," said Clarke. "As Airmen, regardless of rank, we cannot overemphasize the importance of embracing the Air Force's Core Values - particularly with regard to ethics and professionalism." The agenda included discussions on sexual assault prevention and response, joint ethics regulation and senior official investigations. The summit also offered ANG general officers a forum to freely share past experiences. Attendees of the General Officer Summit returned to their respective locations with a reminder from the DANG. "I asked the summit attendees to convey this message to every Airman in their states and territories as a reminder that our nation expects all of us to adhere to the highest standard of ethics and professionalism," said Clarke. The ANG General Officer Summit was similar in purpose to the ANG Wing Commander Fly-in held recently at Air National Guard Readiness Center, here. The fly-in brought together commanders from 89 wings throughout the ANG to discuss leadership, ethics and challenges facing the ANG.
