Puerto Rico Air National Guard delivers first State of the Commonwealth

Leadership from the 156th Airlift Wing, Puerto Rico Air National Guard, led by Assistant Adjutant General, Brig. Gen. Wayne Zimmet, traveled to the ANG Readiness Center here Feb. 29, to provide the first PRANG State of the Commonwealth briefing.

The briefing, headlined by native Puerto Rican, Col. Orlando Negron, is an overview of the history, challenges, capabilities and accomplishments of the 156th AW to key ANGRC personnel.

Col. Edward L. Vaughan, commander of the 156th AW, proposed the unit's long-term strategic vision and plans for mission security and success into the year 2050.

Col. Christopher E. Finerty, vice commander of the ANGRC, and commander, 201st Mission Support Squadron, closed the briefing with a message to the Airmen of the PRANG.

"There's no greater mission than the mission you currently have," said Finerty. "Keep doing what you're doing and focus on your mission."

Let's "Unleash the PRANG," said. Vaughan "Continue to demonstrate our mission commitment through our Air Force core values, Integrity First; Service Before Self, Excellence in All We Do."
