The Air National Guard Readiness Center recognized the outstanding work and accomplishments of their top performers during the 2015 annual awards ceremony March 18 here.

The ceremony was hosted by Air Force Col. Christopher E. Finerty, the vice commander of the ANGRC, and focused on the outstanding work of the ANGRC staff.

"This is the culmination of the long year and a lot of work," said Finerty. "We don't get a chance to do this enough, to formally recognize our nominees and top performers for all of their hard work."

The annual award winners were:

· Field Grade Officer of the Year: Lt Col Mathew G. Brancato, Operations
· Company Grade Officer of the Year: Capt Timothy C. Post, Communications
· Senior NCO of the Year: MSgt Donald Edwards, Plans and Programs
· Non-Commissioned Officer of the Year: TSgt Vicki J Stearns, Communications
· Airman of the Year: SSgt Patrick O'Connor, Air Reserve Personnel Center
· Civilian of the Year Category 3: David M. Schonberg, Office of the ANG Surgeon General

Finerty also took the occasion to remind the Airmen of the importance of the work they do to support those in the field and to thank them for their efforts.

"With the amount of work we do, sometimes we just get too busy to take a moment to take someone aside and say thank you," said Finerty. "Thank you to everyone at the ANGRC, for all you do on a regular basis,"

The ANGRC annual awards ceremony recognizes members' contributions in leadership, job performance in their primary duties, significant self-improvement, and base and community involvement.
