116th FSS supports National Capital Region in support of the 57th Presidential Inauguration

The Guardsmen were part of a nine person team joining more than 6,000 Guardsmen from 26 states and territories as part of the Joint Task Force-District of Columbia. Living and working in field conditions, the primary mission of the 116th FSS was to provide meals from their mobile field kitchen to troops supporting the events surrounding the inauguration. A secondary mission included being sworn in as Special Police to assist the District of Columbia Police Department as needed.
