Air Force Aid Society provides assistance to displaced Airmen and families Published Oct. 16, 2018 325th Fighter Wing Public Affairs TYNDALL AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. -- Significant numbers of Airmen and families have been impacted by Hurricane Michael. It is also understood that it may take time for helping agencies to address the needs of the many affected in the Tyndall Air Force Base area. To that end, to aid affected Airmen in the Mexico Beach, Panama City, or Tyndall AFB community, the Air Force Aid Society is offering a Stabilizing Assistance Grant to Airmen (defined as active duty, retired, and ANG and AF Reserve regardless of activation). Guidance to assist is as follows: - For active-duty Airmen, assistance will be in the form of a $750 grant for single Airmen and $1,500 grant for Airmen with dependents. Airmen will need evacuation orders. - For retirees, assistance will be in the form of a $750 grant for single retirees and $1,500 grant for retirees with dependents. Proof of primary residence in the Mexico Beach, Panama City, or Tyndall AFB community is required. - For Air National Guard and Air Force Reserve Airmen, assistance will be in the form of a $750 grant for single Airmen and $1,500 grant for Airmen with dependents. Proof of primary residence in the Mexico Beach, Panama City, or Tyndall AFB community is required.
