Artificial Intelligence-Based Battle Management Training Rolled Out
U.S. Air National Guard members from Washington, New York, Alaska and Hawaii gather for a group photo during testing of the new Battle Management Training NEXT roll out Aug. 26, 2021, Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington. BMTN was developed in partnership with Vectrona, Breakaway Games and Sentrana to provide a host of first-ever combined artificial intelligence, machine learning, biometric, and natural language processing capabilities consolidated into one training system. This video game like system provides command and control battle management operators sustained, high quality, and low cost training repetitions. The standard BMTN Workstation Kit is comprised of a laptop, headset, mouse, footswitch, and eye tracking panel. The software includes AI Service, Cloud Service and Gaming Engine. A pair of F-22 Raptors from Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, fly above snow-capped mountains. During the COVID-19 pandemic, many airline pilots were furloughed as the industry came to a screeching halt. Now that airlines are seeking to hire hundreds of pilots, those pilots coming off active duty can continue serving in an Air Reserve Component. The Air Force Reserve and Air National Guard allow former active-duty pilots to continue their military service while giving them a supplemental income and benefits should the airline industry experience slow-downs or set-backs in the future. The Air Force revises Air Force Instruction 36-2903 to address differences in hair density and texture June 25, 2021. When hair is secured behind the head, the hair may extend six inches to the left and to the right and six inches protruding from the point where the hair is gathered. ADLS training courses transition to “myLearning” as first step in force development learning management system
As part of Air Education and Training Command’s efforts to aggressively and cost-effectively modernize education and training, Airmen and Guardians can access the “myLearning” digital platform on the Air Force Portal beginning March 18, 2021.
