Position Description (Duty Description)
Staff Officer to the A3 in support of numerous ANG flying units. This position is located at Joint Base Andrews in the NGB/A3 directorate, NGB/A3M. Manages the Mobilization, Readiness, Contingency Deployment processes and schedules for ANG Mobility Air Forces. Focal point for all issues pertaining to operational scheduling, deployment execution, and program implementation supporting current Air National Guard operations and execution plans. Responsible to partnerships with the National Guard, Air Staff, States, and Directorate staff action personnel to integrate and achieve mobility airlift wartime operational planning and crisis deployment execution at all levels (Combat Commands, OSD, JCS, HAF, AMC, and MAJCOM). Will be assigned to multiple mobility weapons systems based on ANG needs. The incumbent will implement and develop input to National Guard Bureau (NGB) policy, possess waiver validation authority for specific ANG operational deployment requirements, and negotiate policy issues with HQ AMC and TRANSCOM. Provides day-to-day mission scheduling for ANG Airlift and Tanker units to fill combatant commander and contingency operation requirements. Coordinates daily with NGB staff, MAJCOM HQs, and Wing leadership on planned and forecast deployment requirements. Represents the NGB and speaks for the NGB/A3M, Mobility Operations Division, and Directors as required during conferences, meetings, and telecoms/VTCs. Must be familiar with the functions and organization of the ANG and the command relationship with USAF, MAJCOMs, NAFs, and TAGs.

AF Form 422 - Notice of AF Members Qualification Status: With NO restrictions and validated within the last 60 days from the date your application is received. Form must indicate member does not have a deployment restriction (Code 31) or is undergoing an MEB (Code 37). "Working copy" will NOT be accepted. Upon final selection, you may need to provide an updated AF422 within 60 days prior to the tour start date.
