Position Description (Duty Description) The candidate serves as the CRE Medical Biomedical Maintenance Manager for all 27 CERFP medical elements. They will have overall responsibility for providing technical guidance on biomedical equipment maintenance matters as well as logistics as it relates to the CRE mission. Incumbent must work jointly with Installation and Headquarters staffs in developing methods and techniques to ensure effectiveness and efficiency of supported programs.
They will perform functions designed to analyze and independently resolve difficult issues and problems pertaining to maintenance and warehouse operations. As the BMET assigned to CoMSupCen, they will coordinate the maintenance objectives and plans for the CRE Biomedical Equipment Maintenance Sections as well as develop, review and/or recommend new or revised local directives, policies, and instructions related to the medical equipment and/or logistics. The incumbent exercises management decisions in the development and disbursement of both one-time and recurring equipment maintenance service contracts. They schedule routine preventive maintenance and expeditiously processes and complete all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and repair; ensuring adequate documentation for all preventive maintenance, safety checks, calibration checks, and other repair services are prepared and maintained. They ensure continuous CRE-wide review of the quality of technical and administrative service procedures and functions covering all aspects of the maintenance management program.
Incumbent prepares/updates maintenance policies, and a variety of special and recurring reports, both oral and written, for presentation to the JSG/J4 and is directly reportable to NGB/JSG; assists and advises unit level BMET personnel regarding the testing, procurement, repair, maintenance, and eventual disposal of equipment; can assist with the selection, on-the-job training, and evaluation of all applicable CRE BMET trainees to include recommendation for decertification of field technicians; assists with the development of policies and regulations; participates in the resolution of special problems requiring quality assurance investigations, provides sustainment training and retraining for CRE BMET force.
The incumbent assigns, directs, and is responsible for the development of operational guidelines, plans, and programs for immediate and long range coordination of medical maintenance and logistical operations as well as performs other duties as assigned.
