Position Description (Duty Description)

Serve as the Medical Project Manager within NGB/A236X for Innovative Readiness Training (IRT).  Position is focused on planning and coordinating medical training opportunities in support of IRT missions.  Skill in exercising initiative, judgment, problem solving, meeting short suspense's, and decision-making is desired as well as expertise in developing and maintaining effective work environment to achieve goals and objectives. Position functions as a compliance expert and as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for medical issues within the IRT program.  Provide Medical SME input for ANG integration into joint service IRT plans and operations.  Participates on working groups within the Office of Assistant Secretary of Defense, supporting efforts to address and resolve personnel, logistic and budgetary issues as they pertain to medical support to the IRT program.  Possess strong oral/written communication skills and ability to research and prepare reports.  Promotes effective vertical and horizontal communication and optimal information flow.  Assists in the development, implementation, and modification of Air National Guard policy and guidance as it relates to and supports IRT.  Interact and coordinate with other reserve components; ANG; Wing/Units, Public Affairs, JAG, SG, CE, A4, A7, and NGB Finance.  Temporary Duty (TDY) travel may be required 50% of the time. Significant travel is a requirement to facilitate liaison relationships within the operational environment with regards to training and clinical matters throughout the United States and its territories.  Certifications in the informatics environment as required, including but not limited to DTS and GKO.  Incumbent should bring a broad operational background and strong networking and liaison skills.  Previous working assignments in domestic or clinical Operations is preferred.

AF Form 422 - Notice of AF Members Qualification Status: With NO restrictions and validated within the last 60 days from the date your application is received.   Form must indicate member does not have a deployment restriction (Code 31) or is undergoing an MEB (Code 37).  "Working copy" will NOT be accepted. Upon final selection, you may need to provide an updated AF422 within 60 days prior to the tour start date.

Officers: Last 3 OPRs (no EPR for enlisted)   IAW MPFM 07-45 dated 11 Jul 07,  para 17b "OPRs on AFRC and ANG Officers are due to the CSS no later than 30 days after close-out and to HQ ARPC no later than 60 days after close-out."
