Position Description

AFCENT Air Reserve Component Forward Advisors advocate for AFRC and ANG personnel deployed in support of USAFCENT.  Senior and Assistant ARC Advisors advise the forward AFCENT staff and deployed commanders on ARC-specific issues and policies.  Serves as an advocate for ARC personnel, solving problems that arise from active, guard and reserve process disconnects. Provides support to deployed ARC personnel spanning the full range of personnel issues including orders, tour lengths, pay, medals, leave, discipline, and benefits among others.  Reach back is provided by full-time ARC advisors at AFCENT Shaw.  Maintains communications with Air National Guard Readiness Center (ANGRC), and Air Force Reserve Command (AFRC).  Visits theater operations locations to brief command staff and deployed ARC personnel. Captures accomplishments of deployed ARC forces and briefs ANG and AFRC senior leadership on lessons learned during AEF debriefs. Provides assistance in coordinating visits by ARC commanders and other senior leaders to the AOR.

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS:
1. BIO and Resume: Applicable accomplishments listed will be considered in selection process.

2. Endorsement:
a. ANG Field Members (AGR, Tech, Drill) -- Must have State Adjutant General (TAG) or designated representative (i.e. ATAG)
b. ANG Statutory Tour Members -- Must have Director Concurrence

3. Fitness Standards: Member must be within fitness standards as established by AFI 36-2905. Plan accordingly to ensure your package arrives on time. Please submit a printout from AFFMS (AF Fitness Management System) via the AF Portal of your current fitness results.

4. Last three required Officer Performance Reports (OPRs).

5. vMPF RIP: All pages of vMPF RIP or records review RIP not more than 6 month old. Data Verification Brief (DVB) brief is not accepted. It does not contain all information needed for qualification.

GENERAL INFORMATION:
Packages will be reviewed to ensure qualifications are met.

No Grade substitution allowed

Applicant must be available to deploy for the entire established tour length.

Selectee can deploy in a volunteer status (Title 10-12301d) on MPA days requested utilizing M4S AEF type MPA day request.
