Firefighters from the Arizona Air National Guard’s 162nd Wing answered a call for assistance in battling the Frye Fire near Safford, Arizona. On June 20, 2017 the 162nd Wing received an order to activate three citizen-Airmen in support of the Frye Wildland Fire incident management team’s aviation section. Scott Rice, Air National Guard director, accepts the 2016 Air Force Marathon MAJCOM Challenge trophy with members of his winning team June 27, 2017, during the annual CORONA Top conference held at Headquarters Air Force Materiel Command. The visit was to engage with refugee students who have been in Massachusetts for three months to three years.

Rapid change is something service members continually prepare for; at any time we can get the notice for a change of duty station, deployment or adjust to new roles within a unit. For 12 Airmen deployed to the 407th Air Expeditionary Group as Security Forces Defenders, a rapid change presented itself within the first month upon arriving.

JOINT BASE ANDREWS, Md. -- The 2017 Air Force Equal Opportunity Worldwide Training Workshop was held at the General Jacob E. Smart Conference Center here from June 12 to 16, 2017. Approximately 300 attendees from every component of the Air Force, including 100 Guardsmen from 40 states, came for the week-long workshop that provided equal opportunity professionals their required yearly refresher training.
