Cal Guard Airmen provide critical communication support to wildfire evacuees
California Air National Guard Airman 1st Class David Ramirez, left, and Staff Sgt. Tyler Crumpton, right, show updated fire maps to evacuees at Napa Valley College in Napa, California, inside a Mobile Emergency Operations Center (MEOC) from the Cal Guard's 163d Attack Wing at March Air Reserve Base, California, Oct. 13, 2017. In addition to sharing updated fire information, the MEOC staff also established wireless internet access and a cell phone network for evacuees who took up shelter in the college gymnasium after a series of wildfires burned through California's wine country.
