Frontline Duty - Hurricane

Airman Dury Kim and Airman 1st Class Matthew Garcia escort an elderly man off the ramp of a Texas Air National Guard C-130 Hercules from the 136th Airlfit Wing. It carried 23 evacuees from Beaumont, Texas, and brought them to Kelly Air Force Base, Texas. Members from the 37th Training Wing, 59th Medical Wing, Texas ANG and Air Force Reserve Command helped in the hurricane relief efforts as Hurricane Gustav approached the Gulf Coast. Kelly AFB and the Port of San Antonio is the staging location for Federal Emergency Management Agency Region 6. Airman Kim is a dental assistant for the 59th Dental Training Squadron, and Airman Garcia is a dental lab technician for the 59th Dental Support Squadron. (U.S. Air Force photo/Staff Sgt. Desiree N.
