Solberg received the last officer commission and is the 14,634th to do so
through the Academy of Military Science (AMS) at the TEC, June 26, 2009.

Air Guard team provides clean water for storm stricken Arkansas town
Technical Sgt. Brian Sutton, a utilities systems management specialist with the 188th Fighter Wing's Civil Engineering Squadron of the Arkansas Air National Guard, connects a supply hose to a water purification unit that will output purified water to support the water needs of the 1,230 residents of Dierks, Arkansas. Defense leaders call California Guardswoman a 'role model'
Air Force Lt. Col. Susan Pangelinan from the California National Guard is awarded a DoD Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) award March 19 at the Women in Military Service for America (WIMSA) Memorial, Arlington, Va., for her accomplishments as a medical advisor to the California Guard's Joint Force Headquarters. The awards ceremony honored 10 servicemembers who have worked toward the development of women and minorities in foreign languages and the STEM fields. It coincides with many other programs, ceremonies and activities that are observing women's history this month.
