The 139th Logistics Readiness Squadron team from the 139th Airlift Wing brought home the first place trophy for the Best in the Midwest Ground Transportation Rodeo held in Fort Leonard Wood, May 20-21. The two-day competition included an Air Force Instruction test and obstacle courses for the 4k forklift, 10k all-terrain forklift and 25-foot tractor trailer.

Runners take off from the start line at the I Believe I Can Fly 5k race at the Toledo Express Airport in Swanton, Ohio on April 9, 2017. The 180th Fighter Wing’s Company Grade Officer Council partnered with the non-profit organization, The Arms Forces, as well as local law enforcement, fire departments and civilian volunteers to hold the third annual race which had approximately 270 participants, to raise awareness for military members with post-traumatic stress disorder and traumatic brain injury. The race, now in its third year, provides runners of all ages, the rare opportunity to run a unique course, down the taxiways used by Northwest Ohio’s very own 180FW, while also promoting awareness and raising funds to benefit our veterans who have given so much to our great nation.
