Texas Air National Guard Tech. Sgt. Josh Bolluck, 136th Contingency Response Flight, sets up communication for airways at the critical response unit for a joint exercise in Carolina, Puerto Rico, Feb. 24, 2023. This training exercise gets new members prepared for the contingency response force mission and is a chance for experienced Airmen to troubleshoot new scenarios. Critical response generally has two different missions, in this exercise the possibility of hurricane support or in a more global response, to a wartime scenario. The exercise is an opportunity for Airmen to practice decentralizing assets and establish airfields to aid war efforts and communication.
